Bargello Museum Introduction: Bargello Museum (Museo Nazionale del Bargello), also known as Bargello Palace (Palazzo del Bargello) and People's Palace (Palazzo del Popolo), is the second largest museum in Florence and the largest museum in Italy. One of the most important national museums.
The museum was built in 1255 and looks a bit like a fortress. The original building was the city hall, and later it was converted into a prison. Executions were also carried out here. After extensive renovations, it became an early Italian state in 1865. museum.
The museum mainly displays sculptures and crafts from the Gothic and Renaissance periods (14th to 17th centuries), including Michelangelo's Bacchus and Donatello's David.
