Introduction to Giotto's Bell Tower: Giotto's Bell Tower is located on the west side of the Cathedral Square in Florence, Italy. It was built by Giotto, a great muralist who was a contemporary of the poet Dante in the early Italian Renaissance, so it is also called Giotto's Bell Tower.
The bell tower took three years to build starting in 1384. It is approximately 13.7 meters square and 84 meters high. Its facade has a neo-Gothic style. Its height and style are rare in medieval church architecture.
