Introduction to Palazzo Vecchio: Palazzo Vecchio was the city hall of the Republic of Florence in the past. The palace was started in 1294 and completed in 1322. The main body is a huge square building with battlements and annexes. The Gothic bell tower is 94 meters high. The entrance to the building is decorated with the city's coat of arms. The mottled coat of arms on the outer wall marks the dominance of the Medici family, the former rulers of Florence.
