Introduction to the West Open-pit Mine: The West Open-pit Mine was mined in 1914 and has undergone seven major technological transformations. The mine is 6.6 kilometers long from east to west and 2 kilometers wide from north to south. The vertical mining depth is 388 meters, with a total area of 13.2 square kilometers. The main products are coal and kerogen shale, as well as two rare minerals: coal essence and amber.
