Introduction to the standard-gauge crane: The standard-gauge crane was developed by the former Soviet Union at the Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Manufacturing Factory in the early 1950s. It was first introduced in the West Open-pit Mine in 1957 and retired in 2007. It is mainly used for lifting operations such as electric railway line laying, mining track lines, earthmoving track line relocation, equipment maintenance, line maintenance, recovery and rescue.
