Introduction to Xie Family Ancestral Hall: Located at No. 60 on the north side of Jipi Lane, it was built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt many times from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. In the late Qing Dynasty, Lin Juemin and others founded a newspaper reading center here to enlighten the people's wisdom. During the May 4th Movement, progressive young people in the provincial capital established the Fujian Students Federation here to organize and carry out youth movements. During the Kuomintang's rule, the Minhou County Party Headquarters of the Kuomintang and the Minhou Daily were both located here. When Huang Zhanyun founded the "Yingqian Model Village", he also used it as an office location in the city. It is now used as the Fujian Zhuangyuanfu Art Museum.
The former residence faces south and covers an area of 1025 square meters. There are four entrances from the front and back, with a shallow hall in front and a bluestone-framed door as the main seat. The door frame is exquisitely crafted, and the lintel has a pair of bluestone door hairpins, which were regulated in the Ming Dynasty and are rare in the city. The main building is made of large materials, surrounded by corridors on three sides, and the central patio is paved with strips of stone. Under the eaves of the wall are gray sculptures of "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", "Two Lions Playing with Balls" and other pictures. The flower hall is small and exquisite, and was used as a study in ancient times. The back wall is adjacent to Gong Lane. A plaque reading "No. 1 Scholar" hangs high on the gate of Xie Family Ancestral Hall. It is said that there was a champion named Zheng Xingzhi in the Song Dynasty here.
