Screening Room Introduction: Forty-nine years later, the 93rd Division, as the remnant of the Kuomintang, was unable to return to Taiwan Island and was ordered by Chiang Kai-shek to cower in the Golden Triangle, waiting for the so-called opportunity to regain the mainland and make a comeback. Since Taiwan was a member of the United Nations at that time, the Thai government appealed to the United Nations twice on the grounds that it illegally stationed troops in other countries' territories. Taiwan cannot deny the existence of this objective military force. It has sent two former senior officials of the Eighth Army to ask them to withdraw all the way to Taiwan. Due to various reasons, only a very small number of people went through all kinds of hardships to reach Taiwan, and the vast majority had to resist the armed encirclement and suppression by local military and political forces. Due to the background of the remnants of the Kuomintang, it is said that our government also sent troops to exterminate them at the request of the Thai government in the early days. What made the Thai and Myanmar governments face up to this lonely force for the first time was the failure of several encirclement and suppression campaigns. The remnant 93rd Division of the Kuomintang, which had suffered repeated defeats at the hands of the People's Liberation Army, was trying its best against a local army several times its own, although each victory was accompanied by casualties among soldiers. Finally, the Thai government understood that they were no match for the 93rd Division, so they took the initiative to seek peace. The Thai government is willing to provide an area for the 93rd Division to settle, but it is not allowed to leave the enclosure. The only condition is that the 93rd Division is required to act as a mercenary force to encircle and suppress the Thai Communist Party guerrillas, which are also troublesome to the Thai government forces. In order to survive, the 93rd Division had no choice but to agree to go through life and death for other governments on the territory of other countries. The only thing they are thankful for is that the Thai government finally fulfilled its contract. That piece of land is today's famous Golden Triangle area. They are also Chinese, but they have become stateless people and have to live in other countries and suffer all kinds of bullying! They have no nationality, only refugee cards and can never leave the Golden Triangle.
