Introduction to Rotorua Museum: Rotorua Museum is an Elizabethan townhouse palace with orange-red roof. In the middle of the main building and on the domes of the side buildings, there are tall towers. It has a tall, thin spire and the walls of the building are covered with horizontal and vertical grid lines. It was originally built by the British after they occupied New Zealand. It was used as a palace when the British Queen visited. It later became the palace where Maori indigenous leaders lived. It is said that a Maori princess once lived here. Later, it was influenced by Western culture and became a bathing place and entertainment for citizens. The place was used to house a large number of sick and wounded soldiers returning from the front line during World War II. It has now been opened as the Rotorua Museum and has become an important tourist attraction.
