Introduction to the ancestral hall building: Chen's Academy faces north and faces south. The main building is 80 meters wide and 80 meters deep. It is square in plan and adopts a raised-beam building structure and a hard-mounted volcanic wall. The overall layout is with three entrances, three roads and nine halls and two compartments, which is regular and symmetrical, with clear priorities. It is surrounded by wing rooms and dining rooms on both sides, forming a building group that is closed to the outside and open to the inside. It is a typical Guangdong folk ancestral temple building.
Chen's Academy is the culmination of Guangdong's folk architectural and decorative art. It skillfully uses wood carving, brick carving, stone carving, pottery sculpture, gray sculpture, painting, copper and iron casting and other techniques. It is a pearl of Lingnan architectural art. It is known as " It was selected into the "Eight Scenic Spots of Yangcheng in the New Century" in the name of "the ancient temple remains fragrant".
