Introduction to the exhibition of Cantonese embroidery art works: Cantonese embroidery, together with Su embroidery, Hunan embroidery and Shu embroidery, is known as the four famous embroideries in my country. It is a major category in our collection. The exhibition hall is located in Houdongzhai inside the Chen Family Ancestral Hall.
Guangdong embroidery mainly includes two major schools: "Guangzhou embroidery" centered in Guangzhou and "Chao embroidery" represented by Chaozhou. There are many types of embroidery. High-end products include banners, hanging screens, table fences, etc. General embroidery products include Quilt covers, pillowcases, shawls, headscarves, various embroidered clothes, embroidered bags, etc., among the exhibits in the museum are works by famous embroidery celebrities such as Yu De, Lin Zhicheng, Chen Heying, and Chen Shaofang.
