Introduction to Lingnan folk arts: Lingnan folk arts and crafts are one of the main collection areas of our museum. The exhibition hall is located in the middle east hall of the Chen Family Ancestral Hall.
For thousands of years, the people of Lingnan have relied on the right time, place, and ingenuity to create a variety of arts with rich categories, exquisite craftsmanship, and unique realms, which have become an important part of traditional Chinese arts and crafts. The museum adjusts its exhibits from time to time to fully demonstrate the ingenious context and technical system of Lingnan arts, and comprehensively and systematically introduces Chaozhou wood carving, Guangdong brick carving, gray sculpture technology, Shiwan pottery sculpture ridge decoration technology, and Chaoshan inlay art to a broad audience. Porcelain, Guangdong metal crafts, Guangzhou enamel, Burmese eggplant carving, olive stone carving, Guangzhou jade carving, Guangdong lacquerware and other traditional Lingnan crafts.
