Library introduction: The YMCA Library is the earliest public library in Yantai. In 1915, he purchased 3.5 acres of land in the north of the middle part of Guangren Road and built a two-story building with a combination of Chinese and Western styles. The exterior walls were all made of brown stones. From then on, he had a fixed meeting place. In 1930, the Youth Library was founded in the east part of the building. It opened on November 18. More than 60 youth associations and libraries across the country sent congratulatory letters and telegrams. Even Kong Xiangxi, Song Ziwen, and Sun Ke wrote inscriptions of congratulations.
