Introduction to Boundary Monument No. 53: There is a boundary monument No. 53 600 meters upstream of Detian Waterfall. It was erected by the Qing government in 1896. Although the boundary monument has been eroded by wind and rain for many years and has gone through vicissitudes of life, it is still the "Guangxi Province of China". The engraving of the five characters "jie" is still neat and powerful, clearly legible.
According to legend, during the Qing Dynasty, the Qing government demarcated territory on this border and erected boundary markers to unify the border. At that time, transportation here was extremely inconvenient, with high mountains and long roads, making it difficult to travel. At that time, several officers and soldiers were ordered to carry the boundary monument here. Seeing that it was getting late and there was still such a long way to go, they were too lazy to dig a hole and erect the boundary monument here. This erection demarcated many of our country's territories behind the monument. Give it to Vietnam.
