Introduction to the old site of the Guangxi Provincial Working Committee: In the winter of 1944, Japan invaded Guangxi and Guilin fell. The Guangxi Provincial Working Committee moved to Huangyao under the leadership of Qian Xing and used Baozhu Temple as a covert to carry out work. At that time, a large number of celebrities including He Xiangning, Ouyang Yuqian, Qian Jiaju, Zhang Xichang and others were evacuated to Huangyao with the Provincial Working Committee. To commemorate this period of history, the Guangxi Provincial People's Government designated Baozhu Temple as the former site of the Guangxi Provincial Working Committee.
