Introduction to houses in the ancient town: Most of the houses in Huangyao Ancient Town are two-story brick and tile structures. Although they are not as grand as those of wealthy urban families, they have exquisite architecture and high levels of craftsmanship in brick carvings, stone carvings, and wood carvings. The beams, columns, brackets, purlins, rafters, walls and ceilings of the building are all carved and painted, in various shapes and forms, lifelike.
