Introduction to the East and West Iron Towers: The East and West Iron Towers are the two oldest existing iron towers in China. Among them, the West Iron Tower was built in the sixth year of Dabao of the Southern Han Dynasty (963) in the Five Dynasties, 4 years earlier than the East Iron Tower. The pagoda was jointly built by Gong Chengshu, the eunuch of Emperor Liu Yuan of the Southern Han Dynasty, and his female disciple Thirty-Sanniang Deng. It has high artistic value. During the Anti-Japanese War, the house collapsed and four floors were destroyed. Now only three floors remain. The East Pagoda was cast in the eighth year of the founding of the Southern Han Dynasty (967) in the Five Dynasties. It was cast in the name of Liu Yuan, the leader of the Southern Han Dynasty. It is square in shape and has seven floors. The tower is 7.69 meters high and the base of the tower is a stone Xumizuo. There are more than 900 Buddhist niches cast on the body of the pagoda, each with a small Buddha statue. The craftsmanship is exquisite. When it was first completed, it was covered with gold and was known as the "Thousand Buddha Pagoda Painted with Gold".
