Introduction to the Sanyuanli People’s Anti-British Struggle Memorial Hall: The site of the Sanyuan Ancient Temple was originally a Beidi Temple. It has a mountain gate, an incense pavilion, a main hall, two corridors and a side room, covering an area of 1,025 square meters. 150 years ago, the artillery fire of the Opium War broke the peaceful rural life of Sanyuanli Village. Faced with the British invaders who came to harass the village, the villagers fought back angrily. After killing and wounding several British soldiers, they went to the Sanyuan Ancient Temple to discuss The anti-British countermeasures centered on Sanyuanli and contacted nearby 103 townships. Then the earth-shattering Battle of Niulangang took place. Since then, this small temple built in the Shunzhi period of the early Qing Dynasty has become famous both at home and abroad. It is now displayed in the museum as the exhibition "Historical Sites of Guangzhou People's Sanyuanli Anti-British Struggle".
