Introduction to the first gate: The first gate is the second building of the Nanhai Temple. It is a brick and wood structure with a width of three rooms. The east-west splayed walls symbolize stability. The front school platform and the back school platform are architectural styles of the Spring and Autumn Period. There are two statues of Shunfeng Er and Clairvoyance on the east and west sides of the front school platform. The wood carvings of the beams retain the style of the Song Dynasty, the roof is a hard ridge, and the ridge with ancient flower panels is a typical Qing Dynasty style. The first gate is a relic of the Qing Dynasty, and the modern reconstruction part still retains the legacy of the Qing Dynasty.
