Introduction to Nansha Tianhou Temple: Nansha Tianhou Temple was built in the Ming Dynasty. It was formerly known as Tianfei Temple. After restoration during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, it was named Yuanjun Ancient Temple to worship the Tianhou Empress. It was destroyed when Japan invaded China in the 1940s. In 1995, the famous Hong Kong industrialist Fok Ying-tung donated money to rebuild Thean Hou Temple.
