Introduction to the main entrance archway: The main entrance archway - Weixiong Juxiu is the first scenery of Nanyue Garden. The archway is 18 meters high, with vermilion lacquer columns, gilded Chaozhou wood carvings, three stacks of brackets, and five stacks of ceramics. It integrates the art of wood carving, ceramic sculpture, gray sculpture, brick carving, and stone carving. It is a blend of Lingnan architecture and royal architecture. model. The three gilded characters "Nanyue Garden" on the plaque in the middle of the archway were written by Ye Xuanping, former vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. On the ridges of the three stacks of Dougong tiles, five double-sided pottery paintings are inlaid, including "Birthday Stars Chasing Deers", "Tianji Qunfang", and "Qilin and Auspicious Lions". The characters in the pictures are vivid and lifelike. Under the three-fold lotus dougong, there are four antique paintings of landscapes, flowers and birds. Under the eaves on both sides, there are two pottery imitation brick carvings of "Confucius Lectures" and "Talking with Confucians". There are couplets on the front and back of the archway. The two couplets, from the outside to the inside, not only point out that Nanyue Garden was built on Zini, a land of outstanding people, but also point out that Nanyue Garden is a place where treasures are collected and elegant civilization is built.
