Introduction to Li Gong Temple: Li Gong Temple is an ancient temple not far from Wuling Bridge. It was built in the late Tang Dynasty and renovated in the Ming, Qing and after the founding of the People's Republic of my country. It has an elegant shape and is full of traditional Chinese architectural style.
Li Gong, a native of the Tang Dynasty, once served as the assassin of Xunzhou. His political achievements were outstanding and the people lived and worked in peace and contentment. Later, he lived in seclusion in Liyin Cave in Xishan Mountain and transformed into a fairy cloud. In memory of his good governance, later generations built a shrine statue for him, offered incense and worshiped him as a god.
