Yunfu Guoen Temple's Hometown of the Sixth Patriarch Travel Guide - Hidden Buddha Pit

Introduction to the Zangfo Pit: The Zangfo Pit is 3 kilometers away from Guoen Temple. There is a long pit of about 2 kilometers stretching between the two mountains. The original natural ecology is well maintained, with shallow waterfalls and strange rocks in the pit. Stones, green shades and mountains complement each other. In the second year of the Tang Dynasty (AD 713), on the third day of the eighth lunar month, after Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, passed away in his hometown, Fahai, the eldest disciple, hid the sixth ancestor in this pit in fear of people competing for his true body.
