Introduction to Moutai, the national liquor: Moutai is known as the "national liquor" and is the special liquor used by the State Council to receive foreign dignitaries. At the 1954 Geneva Conference, the Bandung Conference, and the 1956 China-Myanmar Mangshi Party Meeting, Premier Zhou Enlai used Moutai to entertain international friends, and Moutai gained a reputation. During the World Youth Gala in 1957, compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao called Moutai the "Light of the Motherland."
