Introduction to Lin Qi: Lin Qi (1839-1900), courtesy name Dichen, was born in Houguan, Fujian (now Minhou) and was a pioneer of modern education in Hangzhou. He is the founder of "Qiushi College", the predecessor of Zhejiang University, "Zhejiang Sericulture Museum", the predecessor of Zhejiang Institute of Silk Technology, and Yangzheng Shu School.
