Introduction to the ancient stage: There are three main buildings in the Fuhou Temple area: Xiaohe Temple, Xianting and Fengya Terrace. Xiao He Temple is on the front, Fengya Terrace is on the south, and Xian Pavilion is in the middle. The Fengya Terrace is a theater stage. During major festivals, the prefecture would arrange opera troupes to sing operas. The Xian Pavilion in the middle had two functions: one was to place offerings when offering sacrifices to Xiao He Temple, and the other was for officials to watch the opera. The theater decoration is elegant and antique. The stage canopy is embroidered with yellow gold silk satin and features colorful dragons and phoenixes playing with beads, peonies, bats, and Ruyi auspicious patterns, which is very distinctive.
