Introduction to barrier lake: The barrier lake has turquoise water. The origin of the lake is the floods in Pakistan in 2010. A section of the KKH (China-Pakistan Highway) leading to the Hunza Valley was destroyed. The landslide buried a village and formed a natural dam, blocking the river water and overflowing the road, forming a barrier lake.
