Introduction to the Flood Control Monument: The Flood Control Monument is located at the end of Central Street. It was established in 1958 to commemorate the severe flood that threatened Harbin in 1957. It is one of the landmark buildings of Harbin. The monument is 13 meters high and has 11 semicircular pools at the bottom, representing its highest water level mark in 1957. There is an ancient Roman cloister at the rear, 7 meters high.
