Introduction to Chinatown: Havana Chinatown is the largest Chinatown in Latin America. The Chinese here are mainly from Fujian, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. The heart of Havana's Chinatown is the Zanja Canal. The whole is a long strip of mainly pedestrian streets. It now has many restaurants, laundries, banks, pharmacies, theaters and many Chinese newspapers. There are two archways in Havana's Chinatown. In 1990, the Chinese government donated the largest one in Calle Dragones; the smaller archway is located in the long strip of Zanja Canal.
