Introduction to Fuyan Temple: This temple was founded in the Southern Dynasties, and its original name was Prajna Temple. In the first year of Kaiyuan of the Tang Dynasty (713 AD), monk Huairang, the seventh ancestor of Zen Buddhism, preached the doctrine of "Sudden Enlightenment" here. Therefore, the temple was also called the "Court of the World" and was renamed Fuyan Temple in the Song Dynasty. Fuyan Temple has ancient halls such as the Yueshen Temple, the Abbot's Room, the Ancestral Hall, and the Sutra Pavilion. There is a Sansheng Pagoda on the rock outside the temple. There is a square stone well in the east of the temple. There is a stone carving of "Tiger Running Spring" on the wall of the well. There is a stone tablet beside the spring. The tablet records the anecdotes of the founder Huisi who opened the dojo.
