Introduction to Li Zhongjie Ancestral Hall: Li Zhongjie Ancestral Hall was built to commemorate the noble and bright festival of Li Zhongjie. Li Zhongjie's public name was Li Fu and his courtesy name was Shuzhang. He was a native of Hengzhou in the Southern Song Dynasty. In the first year of Deyou in the Southern Song Dynasty, the Yuan army invaded. Li Fu was appointed as the magistrate of Tanzhou and the pacifier of Hunan. He led the army and people to fight against the Yuan army for more than three months. The city was destroyed and his family died for the country. In the Yuan Dynasty, the Li Zhongjie Temple was built at Li Fu's former residence in Jin'ao Mountain, south of the city of Hengzhou Road, to commemorate Shen Zhong, the general of Li Fu's tribe, and Mu Yanzu, the magistrate of Hengyang County. In the Qing Dynasty, it was moved to Shigu Mountain. It was recorded in the Song version of the Yuan Dynasty and Chen Hang of the Qing Dynasty. When Shigu Academy was rebuilt during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1862-1864), Peng Yulin (then the Minister of War of the Qing Dynasty) wrote a couplet for Li Zhongjie's ancestral hall, praising Li Zhongjie's ironclad spirit and sacrifice for national justice.
