First, it says that Dayu was an outstanding ancient emperor and peasant leader, and later generations They admired him so much that they deified him and turned him into a worshiped idol; secondly, there is a magical legend: It is said that Dayu passed through Hengyang to control floods. Because the floods could not be cured for a long time, he was very upset, so he climbed the mountain to relax and saw an old man with a white beard going down alone. Dayu went up to play chess with him, but the result was that he lost every game. The old man pointed at the chessboard and said to Dayu: "You only know how to block, so the more you block, the more defeated you are." Dayu suddenly realized, and then he came to the saying that blocking water is not as good as dredging and controlling water.
