Introduction to Baishoufang: Baishoufang, commonly known as Zhujia Archway, is located on Shengli North Street in Shanxian City. It was a gift to the Concubine of the Imperial Academy, Zhu Shuqi’s wife, Kong, in the 30th year of Qianlong’s reign (1765). The building is named after the Chinese character "Shou" carved in one hundred different calligraphy styles. The square is made of blue caviar-shaped limestone, with a height of 13 meters and a width of 8 meters. It is a three-story pavilion-style building with four pillars and three rooms. Its unique features are: there are 8 vigorous male lions looking up into the distance on the square pedestal, 8 mosquito dragons emerging from the water and dancing around the pillars, the forehead railings are decorated with blooming peonies, and the upper and lower forehead railings in the middle are 5 flying in the auspicious clouds. The open-carved cranes and the flying phoenixes in relief on the upper forehead constitute an artistic masterpiece with infinite charm, which means "long life", "unparalleled wealth" or "joy".
