Introduction to the Hu Clan Ancestral Hall: Hu Village is the birthplace of the Hu Clan in Hualin and the ancestral home of Hu Yaobang, the former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Historically, there have been many talents of the Hu family in Hualin, among whom Hu Zhongyao, a famous educator in the Song Dynasty, and Wu Youxun, a famous contemporary physicist, educator and former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, are outstanding representatives. The Hu Ancestral Hall was renovated and opened in September 2003, with an inscription by Hu Deping, the eldest son of Hu Yaobang.
