Introduction to Shiretoko Peninsula: Shiretoko Peninsula is known as Japan’s last secret land and is located in the northeast of Hokkaido Island. There is a sea area with the lowest latitude in the world but sea ice phenomenon can be seen here. There are also active volcanoes on the island, and the volcanic activity is still continuing.
