Memorial Hall Introduction: The main hall is located on the pedestal of the green lawn, symbolizing that our beloved Premier Zhou is the loyal son of the Chinese people, and he will always be rooted in the land of the motherland. The main hall is 26 meters high, which is the same level as Nanjing Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and Yuhuatai Martyrs Memorial Hall. The main building is square in shape with an inner octagonal shape. The tetragonal octahedron symbolizes that Zhou Enlai’s spirit shines upon our Chinese nation. The four granite pillars contain the grand vision of realizing the "Four Modernizations" proposed by Zhou Enlai four times during his lifetime, in 1954, 1962, 1964 and 1975. Four granite pillars support the sloping roof, which reminds people of the cattle cart sheds used to carry water to irrigate the fields on the ancient Jianghuai plain, implying that Zhou Enlai's life was a life of serving the people.
