Zhijiang Airport Introduction: Covering an area of more than 4,800 acres, it was the second largest military airport in the Far East for the Allied Forces during the summer of World War II. Flying Tiger General Chennault's Sino-US Mixed Group and the US Fourteenth Air Force used it as a base. The eastern part of the Sino-US Air Force Wing Club near the airport and the airport control tower are still well preserved.
