Introduction to the Turtle Freeing Pavilion: The Turtle Freeing Pavilion is located at Chibijitou. It is said that when General Mao Shu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty was guarding Zhu City, his servant released the white turtle he bought and raised here. He later received a good reward. In the 28th year of Jiaqing in the Ming Dynasty, The prefect Guo Fengyi added a legend that he carved a white stone turtle on the Jixia River and named it Baiguizhu, hence the name of the pavilion. The current pavilion was built in the 7th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty. The cliff below the pavilion stands on the cliff. The spectacular scene described by Su Shi of "rocks piercing through the sky, violent waves crashing on the shore, and thousands of piles of snow rolling in" is here.
