Introduction to Houlu Island: Houlu Island is located in the waters near Ma'anchong, Citian, Xinhua Township, on the north shore of the lake area. It is composed of two small islands that are almost separated. The two islands are also called "sister islands", one east and one west, parallel and juxtaposed, connected by a wooden bridge in the middle. Whenever the lake water falls, the two islands are connected as one. When the lake water rises, they separate again and form separate islands.
The air on the island is humid, the sun is abundant, and various plants are luxuriant. It is an ideal place for monkeys, sika deer, etc. to inhabit. There are now "Monkey Village" and "Deer Island", where dozens of Huangshan macaques and sika deer are domesticated respectively.
