Introduction to wood carving: Wooden beams are stacked on stone pillars, painted with red lacquer, and connected with brackets. The main hall is filled with various wood carvings, stone carvings and clay sculptures from top to bottom, inside and out: there are "Dragon Tasting Hundreds of Herbs", "Dayu Controlling Floods", "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", "Twenty-Four Filial Piety", etc. There are also reliefs of landscapes, dragons and phoenixes, flowers and birds carved around the temple, among which the eight hundred dragons protecting Nanyue are the most distinctive. The temple's beams, columns, eaves, column bases, shrines, and even door frames and brackets all have different expressions. Dragons can be seen everywhere, and the entire temple seems to have become a world of dragons. All these decorative reliefs have strong knife skills, smooth lines, ingenious compositions, vivid and lifelike shapes, and are lifelike.
