Introduction to the Folk Art Museum: The Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum was built in 1553-1563. It was first a monastery and became a state museum after 1829. The main building of the museum is in Renaissance style and displays treasures with strong ethnic customs in the Alps. These numerous exhibits also show people the rich and colorful national culture of Tyrol.
