Tower introduction: The City Tower (Stadtturm) built in 1442-1450 is integrated with the old city hall. It is a symbol of Innsbruck's old city and a representative building outside the golden roof and Anna Column. The tower is 57 meters high and was originally a watchtower with cells on top. During the reconstruction in 1560, a small dome was used instead of the steeple, eliminating the functions of prison and lookout. There is a cloister at 31 meters of the tower, from which visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding peaks.
