Introduction to the Seventh Ancestor Pagoda: The Seventh Ancestor Pagoda is the "Returning Pagoda of Zen Master Hongji, the Seventh Patriarch of the Tang Dynasty" built by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty after the death of the Seventh Patriarch Xingsi. The pagoda was originally a five-story pagoda made of blue bricks. It was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and rebuilt in 1992.
