Introduction to Zhongbang Pavilion: The original four characters "Zhibang Zhibang" on the south gate of Jiangyin Ancient City were written by Yao Wentian, Jiangsu Academic Affairs Minister and Minister of Household Affairs. In 1937, the two characters were blown up by Japanese artillery fire. Keep the word Zhongbang. In August 1946, the Zhongbang Pavilion was built here, and the word "Zhongbang" was restored here to commemorate the righteous people of Jiangyin who defended the isolated city for 81 days.
