Introduction to Jiang Yong’s Former Residence: Jiang Yong’s Former Residence (site) was built in the late Qing Dynasty. It is a residential building with private school-style Huizhou architecture. Jiang Yong (1681-1762), courtesy name Shenxiu and nickname Shenzhai, was a Confucian scholar and phonologist of the Qing Dynasty and the founder of Wan School Confucianism. He lived in seclusion in the countryside all his life, devoted his career to teaching, and wrote a large number of must-read works for academic studies. He is proficient in Chinese and Western calendar calculations, has in-depth research on the "Three Rites", and is especially proficient in rhythm and rhyme. His academic achievements are best known for his textual research, with as many as 27 works included in the "Sikuquanshu".
