Introduction to Haoran Tower: Haoran Tower is located in the east of Wenxin Temple, facing the river and facing the city. It is also called Meng Tower. It was built by Wu Zixin, the Wenzhou patrolman, and Liu Zhengheng, the county magistrate, in the eighth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1580). The name of the building is said to be taken from the sentence "People say Haoran, so much that it blocks the sky" in Wen Tianxiang's "Song of Righteousness"; it is also said to commemorate the famous poet Meng Haoran of the Tang Dynasty who visited Jiangxin Island.
The Haoran Building is a three-bay wooden structure with double eaves on the top of the mountain. It is a raised pavilion-style open building. There is a plaque "River City is Picturesque" hanging in the middle of the building. Li Zhiling, the academic envoy of Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, wrote a couplet "Green mountains and horizontal Guo, surrounded by white water" The city, the twin tower courtyard of Guyu Dajiang; the hibiscus in the early morning, the willows in the morning breeze, and the two poets through the ages on the first floor." It is an excellent place to enjoy the scenery in the middle of the river.
