Introduction to the Wudingping Sculpture: The Wudingping Sculpture tells the legendary origin of the ancient Shu Road. According to records in ancient books such as "Huayang Guozhi", "The Chronicles of the King of Shu" and "Shui Jing Zhu", in the middle and late Warring States Period, the Qin Dynasty King Hui saw that the power of the 12th enlightened dynasty of ancient Shu was declining, and the king of Shu was dissolute and immoral, so he wanted to conquer Shu, but he was blocked by mountains and had no way to pass. Later, King Huiwen of Qin adopted the strategy of General Si Bacuo and lied to Qin that a stone ox would be sent from the sky and gold would be made from manure at night. The King of Qin wrote to the King of Shu, wishing to be a friendly neighbor of Shu, and presented the stone ox as a treasure and a beautiful woman to the King of Shu. Please clear the way to welcome us back. Kaiming, the king of Shu, was greedy by nature, so he sent five strong men to the cliffs in the Dajian Mountain, Xiaojian Mountain and Wuding Gorge, splitting mountains and rocks day and night to dig dangerous roads to enter Qin to welcome beautiful women and transport stone oxen. After the Qin State waited for the opening of the Shu Road, it secretly sent a large army to advance directly. The Shu State was unprepared and the frontline troops were outnumbered. They were defeated in the battle of Jiameng and the Shu State was also destroyed. This is a story later. Later, this road was named Shiniu Road (also called Jinniu Road).
