Introduction to Chaoyang Tower: Chaoyang Tower was built in the 22nd year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1389). It is one of the main symbols of the long history of Jianshui, an important town in southern Yunnan, and a symbol of the old town on the border of the motherland. During the Yuanhe period of Tang Dynasty, the Nanzhao regime built Huili City here, which was a Tucheng city. In the 20th year of Hongwu's reign in the Ming Dynasty, after the Ming army pacified Yunnan, they set up Lin'an Guards and built Lin'an Acropolis. They expanded the land on the basis of the original earth city and rebuilt it into a brick city. The city has four gates: Yinghui Gate in the east, Fu'an Gate in the south, Qingyuan Gate in the west, and Yongzhen Gate in the north. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the three north, south, west and north towers were destroyed by war, leaving only the east city tower.
