Introduction to Alan McDiarmid Laboratory: This strange cone-shaped building with different styles is the McDiarmid Laboratory. It is Professor Alan McDiarmid’s only laboratory in Asia. Professor Alan McDiarmid, winner of the 2000 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, has been committed to research on countermeasures to the energy crisis and has made major breakthroughs in this field. He believes that the biggest crisis facing the world in the future is the energy crisis. To solve the energy crisis, the focus is to vigorously develop new energy sources such as bioenergy, agricultural energy, and fuel cells, and to use these new energy sources to replace traditional energy sources, such as soybean brewing ethanol instead of gasoline.
