Introduction to Shentong Temple: When Shentong Temple was founded, it was called Langgong Temple. The founder is monk Langgong (a native of Jingzhao, with a common surname of Li). In the third year of Emperor Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty (583 AD), Emperor Wen Yang Jian ordered that the name be changed to Shentong Temple. Shentong Temple has gone through more than 1,600 years and has been built and destroyed several times. It still preserves many precious cultural relics that are famous at home and abroad.
