Introduction to Shentong Temple: Shentong Temple was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and is the earliest Buddhist temple established in Shandong. Its founder, Monk Langgong, with the support of the rulers at that time, built the temple to a scale of "more than a dozen upper and lower courtyards, more than a thousand corridors, more than a thousand rooms, the religion was abandoned three times, and no one dared to withdraw", and it was brilliant. For a while. Later, the temple rose and fell several times, and was completely reduced to ruins by the Qing Dynasty. Only precious relics such as the Four Gate Pagoda, Thousand Buddha Cliff, Tomb Pagoda Forest, and inscriptions from past dynasties were left. In recent years, the Licheng District Government has rebuilt the main building of Shentong Temple. The restored Shentong Temple has tried its best to restore the original appearance of the abandoned temple, with obvious Tang Dynasty architectural style.
